Senator Edward M. Kennedy '54 will give a speech of possibly major significance at 8:30 p.m. tonight at the Rindge Technical School Auditorium.
Robert E. McGaw, a third-year law student and president of the Law School Forum, the organization sponsoring the speech, said "Senator Kennedy's office has not released a speech topic, and we believe there is a strong possibility that a major speech will be given."
Senator Kennedy's Boston and Washington offices could not be reached for comment on the speech.
Roger D. Fisher, professor of Law, will moderate the program. Senator Kennedy will speak for about 30 minutes and then answer questions from the audience for 45 minutes.
The Speech was moved from Sanders Theatre to the Rindge Tech Auditorium because of its larger seating capacity.
Crowd
About 100 tickets will be available at the door of the auditorium, located at 450 Broadway. The other 1400 seats in the auditorium will be filled by people with season tickets to the Law Forum's speakers program.
McGaw said that he expects a capacity crowd.
