The Visiting Committee of the Center for International Affairs (CFIA) held a secret meeting yesterday in Boston in order to avoid possible disruption by SDS. CFIA Director Robert R. Bowie refused to disclose the meeting's exact whereabouts or its contents.
In a statement released last night, Bowle revealed that Paul H. Nitze, a member of the U. S. team at the Strategic Arms Limitations Talks, chaired yesterday's annual meeting. Former Secretary of Defense Robert S. McNamara and Henry S. Rowen, president of the Rand Corporation, were among those who attended.

Twelve SDS members formed a picket line in Holyoke Center at 8 a. m. to prevent the committee from gathering on the tenth floor, the site of last year's meeting. SDS cancelled an additional demonstration planned for 4 p. m. when it became apparent that the committee was not meeting in the building.
