To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

You rendered your readers a signal service in publishing Garrett Epps's article, "Prisoners and Politics," Dec. 4, 1970. Therefore I extend to you and through you to Mr. Epps, my hearty congratulations.

Because of its important and timely message I took the liberty of reproducing it and distributing it to some important people, especially editors, in the hope that some of those receiving it might use the information.

I have just received a clipping from the Sun Reporter, the largest Negro paper in San Francisco, which published the article in full. Again my heartiest congratulations.Brig. General U. S. Army (Ret.)
