The threat of violence at the Black Panther demonstrations in New Haven this weekend has caused Yale athletic officials to cancel or postpone all home athletic contests Friday and Saturday except for the lightweight crew race with Harvard and Princeton.
The crew race is held in Derby, which is 20 minutes from New Haven. Yale lightweights voted to hold the event.
All home Yale athletic contests today will be played, and gate proceeds will go to the Panther defense fund. Baseball captain Steve Greenberg first suggested the donation.
