French film director Jean-Luc Godard will speak and show his new film, "See You at Mao." at 8 p. m. Monday in Lowell Lecture Hall.
"See You at Mao" continues Godard's recent trend of making 16-millimeter films which have political content. Godard made the film with Dzrhga-Vertov Group, a communal film-making organization. The Beatles, the Red Chinese, and nude women with a sound background of women's liberation are among the features of the film.
The showing of "See You at Mao." which lasts approximately one hour, is its American premiere.
There is a possibility that Godard will participate in the Free University in the afternoon.
Ivy Films is sponsoring the event.
