Displaying admirable perspicacity, the Cambridge City Council has discovered an unfortunate sentence in the last paragraph of the CRIMSON'S review of the Boston area which denigrated Cambridge's own Cambridge Municipal at Fresh Pond.

The Council passed a resolution Monday which revealed two facts that escaped our notice:

* That the Fresh Pond Municipal was completely closed for the entire 1968 season for renovation of the course at a total cost of approximately $200,000.

* That the course's distinguished membership includes David Rockefeller '36, Hasan Mohd Khan '58, and the "talented" Ethel Waters.

The Council graciously ignored whatever slight was involved and invited you all to use the "renovated course...at the revised greens fees."
