Matte Leads League

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Tom Matte is at it again. The work-horse halfback of the Baltimore Colts, once described as a "garbage can half-back." is leading the NFL in scoring and is second in rushing.

Not known for his size or speed, Matte has been getting friendly jibes from teammates about his performance. "Matte leading the league in scoring is like me leading the XBA in scoring." jaked 5'11" Colt flanker Jimmy Orr.

When asked about the possibility of Matte rushing 1000 yards this year, ex-Colt Alex Hawkins said. "If Tom Matte gains 1000 yards rushing. I'll jump off the top of the Regency Hotel without a parachute."
