To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
In Wednesday's CRIMSON Hayden Duggan attributed a statement to the "Dept. of the Army." In the interests of being accurate with information on a complex issue, it may be useful to point out that the statement was made by Col. Robert H. Pell, Harvard's Professor of Military Science at this time. Col. Pell does not speak for the "Dept. of the Army" on this issue. Here he speaks as a man, a man who has certain teaching and administrative responsibilities at Harvard and who is in the Army. His statement deserves thoughtful attention, but he is not the Department of the Army--a point he would be equally anxious to make clear. Fred L. Glimp Dean of Harvard College
