Four Voted All-League

Harvard dominated the All-League team of the Eastern Intercollegiate Baseball League by placing four men on the first team.

Selected by the league's coaches were pitcher Ray Peters, second-baseman Dick Manchester, shortstop Jeff Grate, and outfielder Carter Lord.

Peters, a junior righthander, led the balloting as the only unanimous choice of the coaches. His 7-0 record led the league He compiled a remarkable 1.87 earned run average for 58 innings and struck out 74 men. This is his second year on the All-Star squad.

Manchester, a senior, led the league in batting with a 467 average. Lord, a senior, made the second team last year. For him, the selection was a gratifying one after being cut off from All-Ivy football honors after a spectacular record-breaking season.

Ryzewicz

Army, Dartmouth, and Columbia each placed two men on the first team. And Dartmouth's Gene Ryzewicz, who tied Manchester for the second base slot, made the team for the third-year in a row, despite a .222 batting average.
