Dr. Farnsworth Wins High National Award

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Dr. Dana L. Farnsworth, Director of the University Health Services, has received the highest national award for contributions to the field of college health from the American College Health Association.

The Edward A. Hitchcock Award which goes to Farnsworth will be only the fifth in the Association's 48-year history. The award was given to Farnsworth for "developing a comprehensive medical program for one of America's major academic institutions" and for his "incisive and stimulating writings in college health administration, education and mental health, which are of major importance."

Farnsworth was recently named to be the only psychiatrist on the five-man Columbia fact-finding committee, which will investigate student protests there.
