Students Form Group Urging Kennedy's Bid

Thirteen Harvard and Radcliffe undergraduates formed a Harvard Students for Kennedy group last night and sent a telegram to Sen. Robert F. Kennedy '48 (D-N.Y.) urging him to announce his Presidential candidacy.

The group's chairman Kenneth M. Glasizer '69 said that they told the Senator that they had supported Sen. Eugene J. McCarthy (D-Minn.) in his New Hampshire campaign but now they believe their common goals can best be served by Kennedy's nomination and election.

Kennedy is expected to announce officially his decision to seek the Democratic presidential nomination at 10 a.m. today at a Washington news conference.

Glazier said that his organization "hopes to circulate a petition soon to test Kennedy's support among the Harvard community." The petition is expected to appear sometime next week.

The group announced that it would start recruiting workers to aid the Kennedy effort next week.
