The Harvard CRIMSON will compete with the Yale Daily News in a special edition of the General Electric Bowl to be televised nationally on Harvard-Yale weekend.
The program is interrupting its normal schedule of contests between teams representing their colleges to present the one-time-only competition between the editors of the two papers. A Harvard team has never appeared on the show, due to a University policy prohibiting students from representing it on commercial television. The CRIMSON editors will represent only their paper.
Four editors from each paper will appear on the program, which is usually shown locally on Saturday afternoons.
