Denied Winter Campus Housing, International Students Scramble to Find Alternative Options
When the lilting strains of "Oh Come all Ye Mindless" failed to bring even a secretary to the windows of University Hall yesterday afternoon, Harvard-Radcliffe Students for a Democratic Society decided to take their Yuletide cheer to the people of Cambridge.
Jared Israel, co-chairman of SDS, picked up his shopping bag containing booklets on free speech which he sells and moved with his friends to Holyoke Center.
To the tune of "Jingle Bells" the SDS carolers sang:
Preppie boys, corporate joys, Harvard all the way;
Oh what fun it is to have your mind reduced to clay.
SDS commemorated the Dow demonstration singing:
They put us on pro, the price we had to pay,
'Cause sitting-in has no place here but napalm is O.K.
