Jim Baldassari talied the Yardlings first counter at 16:45 of the first period, to 3-2 two minutes into the second period. B.C. pulled away then, and had posted six goals before Bob Farrell registered the Crimson's thrid after a pass from andre Lemieux.

Many Harvard players were impressive notably the first line of Jack Tuco, Dick Delaney, and Baldassari and defeneman Chris Gurry, but no one stopped sheehy.
