Thieves Ransack Samborski Home

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A large amount of jewelry, silver, and cash was stolen from the ransacked sub-urban home of Director of Athletics Adolph W. Samborski '26 early Sunday night.

Police said housebreakers entered the three story house at 4 Eliot Road, Lexington, by forcing a first floor window while Samborski and his wife were out to dinner.

The Samborskis returned about 10 p.m. to find clothing and furniture strewn about the rooms. The house had been deserted except for a dog, Mrs. Samborski said. She declined to specify the value of the stolen goods, except that it was "large."

Police were investigating reports of a red pick-up truck seen in the area, which may have been used to transport the stolen articles.
