Freshmen Will Seek Increase in Parietals

The Freshman Council yesterday recommended that parietals for Yardlings be extended to midnight on Saturday. The proposal will be presented to F. Skiddy von Stade, dean of Freshmen, this afternoon.

Von Stade said in an interview last night that he favors "a relaxation of the present system." But any increase in parietals, he said, would "probably" have to be approved by the Faculty.

Freshman entries currently are permitted to have midnight parietals three times a semester. Parietals on Saturdays end at 8 p.m.

Parietals in the Houses will be extended to 12 midnight on Friday beginning this week, members of the Committee on the House said last night. The change was approved Tuesday by the Faculty.
