Many Harvard students were saddened this week when the Library Committee voted to let the 'Cliffies into Lamont next semester "on an experimental basis." The girls will probably be there to stay.
The problems that will undoubtedly arise can't be pinpointed now. Logistically there shouldn't be much trouble. But the Lamont authorities -- if they possibly can and they probably can't -- should try to prevent the once-hallowed -- and quiet -- halls from turning into another Widener.
