Indians, Tigers Should Triumph

By Boisfeuillet JONES Jr.

With Dartmouth at Cornell and Princeton at Yale, today, the Ivy League has its most evenly matched afternoon of the season, except for the Harvard-Brown game. In the fourth contest, Penn and Columbia will be scrapping for the penultimate position in the League.

Dartmouth, the League's fastest team, should run over Cornell, the League's fattest. Mickey Beard, Gene Ryzewicz, and Paul Klungess will have the same success darting around the big Cornell line that Harvard did. Dartmouth is clearly superior, say 34-14.

It is conceivable that Pete Doherty can rip Princeton's secondary with passes -- and undoubtedly he will try--but without halfback Calvin Hill, Yale's offense will probably meet with only limited success against the increasingly rugged Tiger line.

The odds are that Princeton with its whole backfield healthy will continue its strong play of the last four weeks and defeat Yale, about 27-14.

The Penn-Columbia game could be a thriller, with the ball in the air on just about every other play. With Cabot Knowlton healthy, Penn's Bill Creeden will have a running attack, which Columbia's Marty Domres won't.

Penn's superior line should prove the difference, in the vicinity of 23-20.

And Harvard will win by about 30-7.
