Buckpasser to Make Last NE Start Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Buckpasser, the leading contender for Horse of the Year honors, will make his last northeastern start of 1966 this afternoon in the Jockey Club Gold Cup at Aqueduct.

The race is at two miles and will pit the mighty three-year-old colt against one of his chief peer rivals, Amberoid, as well as older horses. It can be seen on the Race of the Week, channel 5, at 4:30 p.m.

A victory -- which would surprise no one -- would be Buckpasser's twelfth straight win. He has won over a million dollars in a two year racing career, and will spend the winter winning more in California and Florida.
