The Harvard lacrosse team travels to Princeton today to take on the perennially powerful Tigers and attempt to even it Ivy Record.
The Crimson, with a 1-2 performance in League play, will have to turn in an outstanding game to top the Tigers. Princeton is favored to win the title this year as it has in seven of the last eight seasons. Last year, the Tigers shared the honors with Harvard and Dartmouth.
In the 1964 Cambridge encounter, Princeton downed Harvard 7-6.
Neither squad has compiled a particularly awesome record this season--Harvard is 2-7, Princeton 1-4. But the Tigers picked up all their losses against traditionally strong nonleague opponents, including the University of Maryland, Army, and Navy.
In their first League encounter last Saturday, the Tigers withstood a fourth period Brown rally and won 7-5. The Crimson topped Brown earlier 8-7.
