This year's Combined Charities Drive which closed officially Thursday night, exceeded its projected goal of $27,000 and saw an increase of about $1 over last year's average individual contribution.

As of yesterday afternoon, $25,000 was collected, with about $3000 more expected from Dudley House, off campus housing, and uncanvassed portions of the regular undergraduate houses.

Five of the Houses yielded over $2000 each. Leverett contributed $2400, the highest mark for a single house in the history of the drive. Radcliffe contributed $4500, with $500 more expected: $5000 was collected in the freshman downs, a decrease of $1000 from last year's yard totals.

The average individual contribution ranged between $6.50 and $7.
