Crimson Offense Hurt By Injury to Diamond; Brooks Will Fill Slot

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Crimson offense, which hasn't scored a touchdown in the last two weeks, suffered another setback yesterday when it was announced that the mainstay of the offensive line, tackle Steve Diamond, is out for the season with a broken wrist.

Diamond fell on his right wrist in the last five minutes of the loss to Dartmouth, and doctors predict that it will take six weeks to mend.

Diamond's right tackle slot will be filled by 217-pound sophomore Bob Brooks, who was outstanding on defense for the freshmen last year but who has had little varsity experience this year.

If Coach John Yoviesin continues to start sophomores Carter Lord and Joe Cook at ends as he did against Dartmouth, the offensive line will boast only two lettermen, guards Roger Noback and Dick Berdik, who has been shifted from the defensive platoon.
