Sophomore Howard Durfee picked up a big win at 137, decisioning Penn captain Bill Lukens, 8-1, but Tom McMahon gave the Quakers a 13-3 lead with a 4-2 decision over Brian Conley at 147.

The Crimson came back, picking up four straight decisions. Jack Mamana (157) and Lamar Fertig (167) won their first matches of the year; Fred Pereira (177) won an 8-0 decision and Ben Brooks (191) wrestled brilliantly to beat Steve Sawyer, 5-3.
