Freshman Down Princeton, 28-22, With Air Attack

Harvard's freshman football team turned loose a dazzling passing attack Saturday beat Princeton 28-22.

Quarterback Dick Zimmerman fired three touchdown passes and scored the fourth himself on a 10-yard run to lead the Yardlings to their fourth win against one loss.

Zimmerman got Harvard its opening score on the final play of the first half, with a 21-yard toss to end Carter Lord. Lord also hauled in a Zimmerman pass for the extra points.

The offense went back to work in the third quarter. Zimmerman threw to Don Sadoski for 20 yards, then tossed a 10-year touchdown strike to Lord. Princeton scored to make it 14-8, but a Zimmerman pitch to Bob Hoffman gave Harvard a 12-point edge.

Princeton closed to 20-14, but Zimmerman's run and a pass to Sadoski put the game on ice for Harvard before the Tigers scored on a 60-yard pass play in the last minute.
