The United states picked up two medals in, of all things, women's canoeing at the Olympic Games yesterday. They were the only medals the U.S. won all day.
Meanwhile Russian canoeists and gymnasts won 13 medals, and the Soviets are considered likely to overtake the U.S. in total medals on the last day of competition day.
Marcia Jones took third in women's kayak singles, and Gloria Perrier and Francine Fox were second in doubles for the two U.S. medals.
