Harvard Baseballers Face Unpredictable Squad at Brandeis

The Harvard baseball team today makes the short trek to Waltham, confident of victory over a usually mediocre Brandeis squad but still-wary of possible surprises.

For several years the Judges have been a generally poor team led by two or three excellent players; while Harvard has had less than five players sign major league contracts in the past decade, Brandeis has had one or two every year.

who will pitch for the Crimson this afternoon is an open question. Possible choices are Tom Rucker and Dick Garibaldi. Paul Del Rossi, who pitched nearly six innings Saturday and may be saved for a more important contest, and Dick Garibaldi, who is plagued with a sore arm, seem less probable. The rest of the starting line-up should remain the same as it was against Princeton Saturday.

Sophomore Mike Patrick, with four hits in nine times at the team in hitting. Next are Gavin Gilmore, .354, Tom Bilodeau, .333, and Terry Bartolet, .322.
