Cambridge Legislators Refuse Pay Increase

Two Cambridge members of the state legislature have refused to accept a $3600 pay raise for their work this year. Both supposed the raise last June, when legislators voted quickly and over wheiminagly to increase theif salaries from $6200 to $7300 a year.

Sen. Francis X McCann and Rep. Levin H. Campbell III '41 said yesterday they did not think that Massachusetts voters invoted the legislature's action. In a inference last year, voters came out 5 to 1 against a $1500 increase. The new like will be on next November's bailet.
