To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

The story on Monday's HCUA meeting demonstrates again the CRIMSON's all too frequently employed spirit of irresponsibility, Viciously selective quoting by the CRIMSON Ministry of Truth renders a disservice to all. The story quotes me as saying. "The Masters are human and occasionally act irrationaly." What I actually said (which could have been verified by the CRIMSON president, who was present at the meeting) during the course of a long discussion was, "Although one of the Masters has said the Masters are human and occasionally act irrationally, in this case [decisions on parietal hours] they certainly have not done so." It was further pointed out that the objections of the Masters to excessive extensions of parietal hours are well formulated, since the subject is brought up as often as it is.... R. Thomas Seymour '64   Chairman, Harvard Council   for Undergraduate Affairs

Editors note: Our reporter maintains, and others at the meeting confirm, that chairman Seymour's position was fairly represented and that the question in question was accurate.
