No motion bearing on the new policy for the degree with Honors in General Studies has been submitted for consideration at the January Faculty meeting. There have, in fact, been no proposals for discussion of any business whatever. The meeting has consequently been cancelled.
It is thus certain that the new policy on Honors in General Studies will remain in effect for at least a year. The new policy, passed by a close vote at the December Faculty meeting, awards an Honors degree to any student who has made honor grades in better than two thirds of his courses.
