Brown Named Professor
Roger W. Brown, whose psychological studies center on language and the way children learn to use words, will become professor of Social Psychology at the University on July 1. Brown began his research at the University of Michigan and continued at Harvard, where he served on the Faculty from 1952 to 1957.
Since 1957, Brown has been on the faculty of M.I.T. He is the author of Words and Things, an account of linguistic reference. Brown is also co-editor of the forthcoming New Directions in Psychology.
89 to Get ROTC Commissions
Eighty-nine seniors will be commissioned as officers in the Armed Forces of the United States on Wednesday, June 13, at 11:45 a.m. The event marks the sixth annual joint commissioning of the Army, Navy, and Air Force ROTC programs at Harvard University.
The ceremony will be held in the Loeb Drama Center following the Class Day exercises. The Army will commission 33
