Surprise Deal Sends 'Monbo' to Radcliffe

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Longstanding rumors were finally confirmed yesterday when the Boston Red Sox announced the trade of ace right-hander Bill Monbouquette to Radcliffe College for Mary I. Bunting and a field hockey player to be named later.

"She can't run, she can't field, she can't hit any better than your grandmother," a Sox spokesman jubilantly declared, "but I wouldn't trade her for DiMaggio in his prime."

"Monbo," the big fastballer from Medford, will bring to Radcliffe the strongest right arm in women's education.
