Mrs. Mary G. Fitzgerald, a checker in the Quincy House dining hall, died yesterday of injuries received in an automobile accident. Mrs. Fitzgerald was struck by a car on her way to work yesterday morning and died in Cambridge City Hospital about 1 p.m.
An employee of the dining halls for 20 years, Mrs. Fitzgerald came to Quincy when the House opened in 1959. She was a favorite of Quincy House students and enjoyed telling them stories of her family and friends.
