Duke Names Knight As Fifth President

Duke University announced Saturday that Its fifth president would be Douglas M. Knight, who currently heads Lawrence College of Appleton, Wis., a Job which President Pusey previously held.

Knight, who is 41 years old, is the youngest man to head Duke in its 32-year history. He received his bachelor's degree from Yale in 1942, his master's in 1944, and his doctorate in 1946.
