Masters Vote Curfew On Cycle Parking Lot

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

As an emergency measure during reading period and exams, the Masters voted yesterday to close the Plympton St. parking lot for cycles and scooters between 11 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. every day. Police will be informed, and the regulation will go into effect tonight.

Inspired by a Lowell House petition, the Masters acted on behalf of what Elliott Perkins '23, Master of Lowell House, called "a large segment of the community" who are disturbed by the noise.

The petition had urged that either a new parking area be found, or "restrictions on the times of day when engines can be run in the lot" be imposed.
