Lacrosse Varsity Faces Bowdoin Here Today

It's a long, long ride from Cambridge to Brunswick. Me. By the time the final gun is sounded in the varsity lacrosse game here today, the boys from Bowdoin may wish they had never come.

Socking its eighth straight victory, the Crimson may send Bowdoin back to Brunswick with a score equal to the 15 to 1 Harvard victory last year.

Yesterday Coach Bruce Munro had the Crimson working on clearing patterns; the attack practiced precision passing and shooting. According to the coach. "We've got to sharpen up our playmaking. Our high scoring isn't necessarily a sign of superior teamwork. Some people think we're better than we have shown thus far."

Most of Munro's men will probably see action today. Starting will be Captain Tadhg Sweeney, Hal Loucheim, and Joe Prahl at midfield. Filling the defensive slots will be Dave Grannis, Henry Field, and Arnie Margoluis. At attack, the Crimson will have Woody Spruance, Dave Bohn, and Grady Watts. Gil Leaf will start in the nets, backed by hockey goalie Bob Bland.

Pete Sieglaff, Gill Bamford, and Dave Nyhan compose Munro's second midfield. They looked good against MIT, frequently stealing the ball and scoring upon bewildered defensemen.

Next Wednesday, the Crimson meets a mediocre Tufts team at Medford, followed by a more demanding encounter with Pennsylvania here Saturday. Penn is suposed to have a better than average defense.

Starting time is three o'clock today on the Business School flats. Crimson victory may be in the air.
