An audience estimated at 300 turned out Friday night for the second local showing of the film "Operation Abolition."
The film, presented by the Harvard-Radcliffe Liberal Union, shows allegedly Communist-inspired" students demonstrating against last May's hearings in Fan Francisco of the House Un-American Activities Committee. The film was first shown at the University on Nov. 28 under the auspices of the Naval ROTC.
Burton White, a teacher at the University of California and one of the leaders of the student demonstration, spoke after the screening. He attacked the film, claiming that it had been doctored to suit propaganda purposes of the HUAC. The film was shown again last night under the sponsorship of the American Friends Service Committee at the Friends Meeting House.
