A Cambridge resident was injured seriously and a Business School student cut slightly last night in a three-car collision on Memorial Drive between Dunster House and the Western Ave. Bridge.
Frederic McMann, 49, of Erio St. suffered a fractured left ankle, possible fractured leg, and other breaks and was reported in fair condition at Mass. General Hospital. Emil A. Battat 1G. Bus, received face lacerations in the crash at 10:05 p.m.
Battat reported to MDC police that a '55 Mercury driven by McCann towards Boston was on the wrong side of the road and hit the student's '58 Oldmobile head on. A third car bumped Battat's.
Amid a crowd of students, Cambridge firemen came to the scent to halt a fire that broke out in McCann's automobile.
