Football Attendance for 1960 Ranks Third in New England
The varsity football team was the third highest collegiate gate attraction in New England last season, according to UPI figures. Harvard's seven-game home season drew 120,500 spectators, behind Yale (247,549) and Boston College (124,-955).
Yale averaged nearly 31,000 in its eight-games at the Bowl.
HAA Ticket Manager Frank O. Lunden, who said that he was surprised that B.C. outdrew the varsity in the area, estimated that the 1960 home attendance was slightly better than the post-war average.
