Fencers to Challenge M.I.T. Squad Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The fencing team will take on M.I.T. at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the Engineer's Gymnasium. The Crimson will win.

Riding on the crest of a 2-0 record, the squad will use Captain Larry Johnson, Walter McBeth, Lonnie Wheeler, and Ted Boorama at foil: John Tiel, Heder, and Jim Pusey at sabre: and Bill Bonnet, John Reckler, and Peter in the epee division.

Mador and Tiel, as well as Johnson, competed extensively last year, and few of the other Crimson fenoers will be suffering from any handicap of experience.

M.I.T. although boasting the son of an olympic medalist in fencing, has nothing special to offer and can only be considered as the darkest of dark horses for the racing's match.

The varsity's next contest will be against Cornell after vacation. So far this year the team has defeated two squads, Brandeis and Bradford-Durfee, by heavy margins. The Brandeis score was to 5, and the Bradford total, made by a B-team composed mostly of sophomores, was 19 to 8.
