The Crimson rugby team will attempt to bounce back from its 13-3 loss to Princeton last week when it faces the Boston Rugby Club today at 12:30 at the old House football field. The team hopes to improve on its present 2-2 record, although with several players out, it will not be at full strength.
After a close 6-5 victory over M.I.T., two weeks ago, the Crimson traveled to Princeton last Saturday only to be crushed by the well-trained Tiger unit. The Princeton forwards proved far better in the line-out than the Crimson pack and controlled the ball for 80 per cent of the game.
Forced into playing defensively, the Crimson had few chances to score. The Harvard players showed good individual tackling form but were unable to prevent frequent large Princeton gains.
Excellent play by the backs saved the victory over M.I.T., whose team kept the Crimson on the defensive for much of the game. A 75-yard try and a penalty kick accounted for Harvard's score. On the try Sinipisi Kavaliku picked up the ball in Crimson territory and ran 75 yards untouched along the sidelines.
