According to a recent poll conducted by the Yale Daily News, 63.6 per cent of Yale undergraduates favor Nixon for president. Kennedy captured 32.6 per cent and 3.8 per cent were either undecided or voted for minor-party candidates.
Of the 2375 students who voted, 387 classified themselves as Democrats, 1091 say they are Republicans, and 807 claim to be Independents.
A sampling of the Yale faculty, however, taken by the "Elis for Nixon," reveals that faculty members prefer Kennedy over Nixon by a 5 to 2 ratio.
