Student Council Wins Third Place Award In NSA Contest

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Student Council has received third prize in a contest sponsored by the National Student Association. Awarded at this summer's National Student Congress in Minneapolis, the prize was in recognition of the Council's reports on education in the College.

Also at the Congress, Eugene H. Zagat '61 was elected chairman of the New England region of NSA.

A proposal long advocated by Zagat, entitled "Project Awareness," was passed after a bitter fight. The proposal would establish a "theme issue," to be discussed on American campuses during the coming year. This year's theme is college-government relations.
