Varsity Defeats Tufts In Lacrosse, 17 to 7

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Dave Bohn scored eight times yesterday to lead the varsity lacrosse team to a 17 to 7 win over Tufts at Medford. The victory brightened prospects considerably for Saturday's game with Dartmouth.

From the early part of the first period, there was little question as to which team would come out on top. Each unit--attack, defense, and midfield--produced smooth, efficient lacrosse to contribute to the victory.

One of the outstanding features of today's game was the play of sophomore fielder Tadgh Sweeney. On the second midfield until last Saturday, Sweeney's speed and blocking have earned him a permanent berth on the first unit.

Supplementing Bohn's eight goals, Jerry Pyle scored three and Manuel Cabral, two. Leo Ullman converted from goalie to attack and flipped in one tally to round out the scoring.

With his eight goals this afternoon, Bohn moved his season total up to 31, bettering last season's high set by Dub Mallonnee.
