City Requests New Stop Sign

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The City Council yesterday asked the State Department of Public Works to consider approving a stop sign for the corner of Plympton and Bow Sts., the scene of frequent accidents.

Councillor Edward A. Crane '35 introduced the order, which also asks the Chief of Police to provide a report of accidents which have occurred at the intersection, and a rush-hour traffic count.

If approved by the state, the sign would stop cars travelling north on Plympton St., between the Lampoon Building and the Gold Coast Valeteria. The DPW must approve all local traffic control measures.
