Stickmen Face Crusaders

The varsity lacrosse team will face a fairly strong Holy Cross squad in its first road game of the regular spring season this afternoon. After defeating Hofstra and Stevens Institute on the spring trip, the Crimson was handed its initial defeat by the Boston Lacrosse Club her Saturday.

Although the varsity trounced Holy Cross 12 to 5 early last spring, the Crusaders have improved noticeably and compiled a 7 and 3 record. Their offense is reported to be very much like Hoftra's.

Attackman Nick Lamont, injured in the second period of Saturday's game, should be back in the starting lineup this afternoon, but Dave Bohn, who is leading the team in scoring, may be hampered by a strained neck. Bohn and Lamont will alternate with Jerry Pyle and Andy Leaf at the three attack positions.

Coach Bruce Munro plans to alternate two lines at midfield. On one line will be Dick Morgan, Dick Parks and Manuel Cabral, while John Gould, Dave Birch, and Tadgh Sweeney will compose the other unit. Bron Thayer, Ed Tarlov, and Lanny Keyes will open the game at midfield, and Chris Stone will guard the nets.

Starting for the Crusaders will be the two attacks who led the team in scoring last season.
