The Radcliffe Development Fund has collected $4,005,302 in less than four years of its ten-year drive to raise $10 million, Robert L. Hunneman '28, National Chairman of the Fund, announced Saturday.
At a special one-day conference of Radcliffe alumnae and volunteer workers for the Fund, Hunneman called the effort "well ahead of schedule."
Future plans of the Development Fund include a one-day "Radcliffe Panorama" on April 15 for alumnae, parents, and friends, who are expected to provide most of the ten-year total.
Similar to last year' Harvard's Day, the program will include five panels "to feature outstanding faculty personalities in the fields of humanities, social sciences, and astronomy," according to the Radcliffe Alumnae Association.
Among panel topics are "The Hero in the Novel," and "Homer: The Background and the Recently Discovered Mycenian Writing."
Other plans for the "Panorama" include an evening program offering "a portrait of student life at Radcliffe." Undergraduates will be chosen by April 1 to participate in the presentation.
"Alumnae, parents, and friends are all co-operating to produce a program which will dramatize the quality and scope of the education offered at Radcliffe," according to Mrs. Priscilla R. Roe, Chairman of the Graduate Chapter of the Radcliffe Alumnae Association.
