B.C. Defeats Larries, Wins Eastern Crown

North Dakota beat Michigan State, 4-3, Saturday, to win the National Collegiate hockey championship tournament in Troy, N.Y. In a second game, Boston College defeated St. Lawrence, 7-6.

Both games were won in overtime, Boston's on an unassisted goal by John Cusack in the second overtime period. The win gave B.C. third place in the nation and the unofficial Eastern title.

Previously, Michigan had defeated the Eagles, 4-3, while St. Lawrence bowed to North Dakota in overtime by the same score.

B.C. and St. Lawrence had split their previous games this season.
