Drunks Break Cafe Window

Three men will appear in court today and plan to plead guilty to a charge of hurling a rock into a window of the Cafe Mozart at 12:30 a.m. yesterday morning.

Cambridge police apprehended the men shortly after the incident, since a passer-by had taken down the license number of their car. Two of the men are being detained in the Cambridge city jail, while the third, a student at the M.I.T. night school, was released on $1,700 bail.

Joseph H. Gardner '60, owner of the cafe, stated that the three men, who were intoxicated at the time, had chosen his coffee house by chance and without premeditation. He may settle the case out of court if he is reimbursed $75 to $100.
