Aztec Exhibit Opened At University Museum

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A new display of rare sculpture, pottery, and gold and jade ornaments from the Mayan and Aztec cuture is now open to the public at the Peabody Museum.

The exhibition is made possible by a gift of Mrs. Alfred M. Tozzer. Her donation provides for new display cases as well as laboratory space for the study of the ancient materials.

The University procured the objects between 1890 and 1914, before the various central American governments forbade the export of antiquities.
