"The Summer School regrets that it was necessary to turn people away from the dance in the Union last Friday night," Joan E. Hartman, Social Director, said Monday. "Future Dances will be held in the large dining room of the Union," she said, "and there will be room for all."

Although Cambridge fire laws limit crowds in the Union Common Room to 400, more than 500 reportedly found their way into the dance, even though tickets were not sold beyond the legal maximum it was learned.
